MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A WOMAN

On a transatlantic flight, a plane passes through a severe storm. The
turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wing is struck by lightning. One woman in particular loses it.

Screaming, she stands up in the front of the plane. 'I'm too young to die,' she wails. Then she yells, 'Well, if I'm going to die, I want my last
minutes on earth to be memorable! Is there anyone on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?'

For a moment there is silence. Everyone has forgotten their own peril. They all stare, riveted, at the desperate woman in the front of the plane.

Then a cowboy from Texas stands up in the rear of the plane. He is
handsome: tall, well built, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt.

One button at a time........

No one moves..................

He removes his shirt................

Muscles ripple across his chest..........

She gasps....................

He whispers................

:P 'Iron this...then get me a beer.' :P

I just found out that my surgeon is now working for the hospital clinic that I was working for at the time of my injury. He will be working along side with the 2 physicians in my office to made me continue working injured...my surgeon knows the whole story.
Question...now that he is working with them and will be having "some" of his patients go to the clinic to be seen, will this be considered a conflict of interest regarding my case, since I still have an open case?

Today I got my report from my IME. Finally!!! The doctor that did the report apparently did not know what he was doing by the first line he typed to the insurance co. He wrote that he saw me in his NH office when he saw me in his Mass. office. He disagreed with my rating from the PIR doctor of course who cared for me. He said that he felt i could still do the work i did when i was injured and said that I even know that. Well that right there is bull as why would i want to give up a job that i loved???

My origional rating was 19% whole body and the IME doctor gave me 6% instead. He even stated that he did not think i need the medication that i am taking either.

What I want to know now, because i do not have a lawyer, what is the next step? I know it was sent to the wc board to review both ratings, but will the wc board make their own decisions? They never mentioned lifetime medical anywhere, but the PIR doctor told me there would be.

Can anyone now take away my care, treatments? I saw the amount the ic is asking the board to give me and seen i can appeal if i wanted. Do I just sit back and wait now for a answer from the WC board?

I recently had the mri done and i don't fully understand the results, here are some of the things it says "left laminectomy defect l5 with adjacent scar tissue posteriorly. abnormal scar tissue density at the disk just to the left midline which extends to the disc space. granulation tisue adjacent to and inferior to the disk space causing some narrowing of teh lateral recess and inferior aspect of the left neural foramen. I dont expect a translation but if anyone knows what this means this would help. otherwise a website that would translate would be helpful. I haven't been on the site much lately bc i have been very upset, my dr made a mistake and tried to send me back to work, which means he wasnt paying attention to my condition, it was straightened out, but he can't take back the effect it had on me mentally and physically.

I have a hearing scheduled in June and, right now, am representing myself. Two different attorneys told me they would not take my case because my case is mental distress and abuse instead of a physical injury.

The employer's insurance company said they needed medical records to determine my eligibility, but my doctors never received any requests for records. The adjuster refused to fax a second request and arbitrarily denied my claim and said "just apply for a hearing".

I have a copy of my medical records from my therapist that states I was seeing her about the abuse and belittling by my supervisor in front of co-workers when I finally couldn't take it anymore in January. I also have lots of other documentation including letters from both of my doctors that states that they never received any requests from the insurance company for my medical records. My last day of work was 2/6/08 and the major part of my claim is that a co-worker grabbed me on the arm to keep me from walking away during an argument and I had a major panic attack. That was back in October and the work environment went downhill quickly from there.

On my last day, I tried to clear the air with the co-worker who grabbed me and she denied grabbing me, she just wanted to touch my arm as we spoke, AND SHE REACHED OUT FOR MY ARM AGAIN!!

Because of a history of panic attacks when physically threatened like that, I panicked again. I went into my supervisor's office, closed the door, and the co-worker opened the door and barged into the office. She kept reaching for me as she kept saying "all I wanted to do was touch her arm as we spoke" and REACHED OUT FOR ME 4 MORE TIMES! Each time I pulled back and said "don't touch me". Neither my supervisor nor the brother of the company's owner who was also in the office and witnessed this event did anything to stop the co-worker from reaching out to me. They appeared to be in shock at what was happening and just stood there. I finally yelled at them "is anyone going to stop her from reaching out at me. I'm trapped in this corner and she is blocking the door and I can't get away from her." With that the owner’s brother told the co-worker to go back to her desk. I filed a workers' comp complaint that day and haven't been back to work since.

I can't leave me house alone. My husband takes me everywhere. I cannot go into stores. The only places I go are my doctors, my daughter's or my parents. Sometimes my husband takes me with him when he goes to the grocery store and I wait in the car just to get out of the house for awhile.

Does anyone know what I can request from the defending attorney? I'm in Maryland. He is asking for a continuance because a "key witness is going to be away on a cruise." Can I get a copy of the itinerary as proof of them not playing games? Can I get a copy of a witness list, witness statements or depositions? Can I demand to depose the key witness before the hearing date so that his testimony can be used?

I have already written a letter to the state's workers' comp commissioner asking for no continuances because I will have been out of work for 4 months by the time of the hearing and have absolutely no income between my husband and me.

I need advice of how to proceed.

Thanks!

State: WI. I have been on WC since 11/07 receiving TTD for a knee injury. Recently, I was switched to PPD, and the ins. co. is denying my next surgury for the injury saying the underlying cause is arthritis (I'm 37).
I am really sorry that I have been gone for several days without letting you know. I had a health problem and ended up in the hospital. I am ok, and just glad that I can talk to you all again.... someone removed my phone while there and someone else, would not allow me to do any painting or anything while I was there...so if any of you truly know me you must know I have been going out of mind... however, I must honest, I slept great. The only REAL negative part about this was not having a computer so that I could talk to you all. I returned home today and I have some thank you's to make so I guess I better get started before I go to bed again....so here goes..........

sweet tooth, Del told me that you called and that you and skeeter were praying for me. wow your congregation must truly be wondering who this Red person is....lol...thanks sis...love you also. Please tell skeeter that includes him as welll.... he is a wonderful and caring person...love you both

monster thank you for letting people know that I was not ignoring them...sort of expected that when del told me that sweet tooth called...you are the best you know...love you also

jayne...thank you for the note, I am so glad to hear about it.

Sparkey.... I am so sorry about my promise to you. My husband said he would get it off either Tommorrow or Monday. I sure hope I have not missed your anniversary yet.

To everyone else...I missed you all a lot and I hope that soon I will be back on more often. Oh...and under medical demands I am under orders no more dinner parties, and no more not resting during the day...and no and no and no...that is no fun...do any of you even think I am going to do that...smiling... love you all .....
Somewhere in the deep South, Bubba called an attorney and asked, "Is it true they're suing the cigarette companies for causing people to get cancer?" "Yes, Bubba, that is true." "And people are suing the fast food restaurants for making them fat and clogging their arteries with all them burgers and fries ... is that true, mister lawyer?" "Sure is Bubba, but why do you ask?" "Cause I was thinkin' .... maybe I can sue Budweiser for all them ugly women I've been wakin' up with!"

Does anyone know of a law that was enacted back in 1994 or 1995 and later recinded in 2002, having to do with collecting workers comp as well as SSD, in which you would have to pay back the SSD when you start collecting regular social security at retirement if you were injured during the time frame that that law was enacted ??

I have a friend on an RSD forum that is saying her attorney told her that she would have to pay back her SSD when she begins collecting her retirement social security. I can't find any such law, but with many of you collecting on SSD that might have been injured during that time, I though that you might be able to point me in the right direction in finding any such law.

Of course, I understand that no one may have any idea about this.. but I thank you in advance for any information that you can give me at this time.

Thanks,
